Hi I am Linda and I extend a very warm welcome to my studio. In this calming space that I have created I teach a variety of different types and styles of Yoga. This includes Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and the more dynamic Flow style of Yoga.
In teaching Yoga, I strive to integrate the aspects of the practice of Yoga which extend beyond just the asana practice such as a full integration of the breath, pranayama and meditation. My aim is to teach and develop each client to encourage the correct use of the breath and the most effective alignment of a position so that they can get the most out of the practice. With small class sizes I aim to get to know each client so that I know what their needs are and what limitations they may be working with. By offering adaptations and adjustments I adapt the class so it is accessible for all who are in class.
I firmly believe that Yoga should be for everyone and to that end I offer classes for the senior population which focus on the particular needs of that population and to encourage strength, flexibility and mobility. I also offer chair yoga classes which are for those who find it hard to move up and down from the floor. I love introducing the practice to complete beginners as well as working with those who have a sustained practice.
I am also a qualified Mindfulness teacher. I am passionate about delivering the benefits of this wonderful practice as far as I can. I run regular courses, workshops and practice evenings and of course I weave mindfulness through all of my classes to develop an awareness of how the body breathes and moves.
